Questions and Answers About Setting Up at the Flea Market

 

What are the hours and times of the Arlington Flea Market?
The Arlington Flea Market is held every first Saturday of the month from April through November from 7 AM-1:30 PM.

 

Where is it held?

The Flea Market is held in the I-66 garage located at 15^th and Stafford Street in North Arlington. The garage is located adjacent to the Arlington Education building  and the Planetarium. 

I want to start selling stuff at the Flea Market! How soon can I start setting up?
Last year in 2012 we were allowed to begin setting up as early as Friday afternoon beginning at 5 PM. THIS IS NO LONGER ALLOWED. This year, in 2013  we are only allowed by the county to begin set-up starting at 12 AM Saturday morning. Please do not violate this rule since we wish to be on good terms with the county officials who need the space free for school games and other events. We realize that this represents a big change for many of our vendors who have been coming for many years and we apologize for the inconvenience.

 

Do I need to bring my own tables?

Yes, we do not supply tables or chairs.

 

How much does it cost to sell at the Flea Market?

We charge $20 per parking spaces. Two spaces are $40. We charge the lowest rate for a Flea Market spot in the Arlington area. A representative from Arlington Civitan will come around during the Flea Market to collect. We accept cash. Only regular vendors are allowed to pay by checks.

 

How big is the space?

 It is roughly 10 by 20 feet.

What kind of stuff can I sell at the Flea Market?

You are permitted to sell used goods, but live plants and food are not allowed. If you have new items, make sure that you have at least 50% of used goods in the mix. Due to many requests about new goods, we will be reviewing this in the future, but for now the rule still holds that you have a mixture of used and new items.

What do I get for my money?

 We typically see close to 1500 people visit the Flea Market so you have great exposure.   

 
Where do I put my car?

You can bring your car/truck/SUV, etc. and put in the parking spot if you wish and proceed to set up in the front or rear of the vehicle. We also have some parking available for vendors located on the lowest level of the garage.

 

What about trash?

Free trash pickup is no longer offered In order to keep prices low at $20 per spot. Please bag all your trash and dispose of your trash elsewhere.

 

Can I donate items to Civitan?

We don’t accept vehicles at this time. We can accept certain items in good conditions. We do  not accept large furniture items for instance, since we have no place to store them.
